Don’t you just love smoothies?

When I was in 8th grade, I had this friend whose family made slushies using juice concentrate, a FULL CUP of sugar, and ice. Oh my word. Talk about hyper sleepovers.
More mouth-watering to me is a fruit smoothie. I don’t have a specific recipe and each time it’s a little different. I just toss these things in the blender and it turns out delicious.
- one banana
- some yogurt — usually vanilla or plain
- a spoonful of orange juice concentrate (We don’t drink much orange juice, so I keep a can of frozen OJ concentrate in the freezer and just spoon out a bit each time I make smoothies)
- any combo of frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or peaches
- a splash of milk or juice
- ice cubes if you like
If you have any left over, pour it in a cup to freeze and pull out the next day.
